Ben Rivers Family

Ben Rivers
Associate Pastor, Student Minister

Ben Rivers began his ministry at Mount Hermon Baptist Church in November of 2011. Growing up in Savannah, and at Mount Hermon Baptist Church, Ben returned to Savannah after living in Jackson, Tennessee for 7 years. He is a graduate of Hardin County High School, Union University in Jackson, and is presently a student at Mid America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis. He is married to Magen, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and they have two daughters, Molly, born in February 2011, and Nora, born in March 2013.

Ben was employed at Coca-Cola of Jackson, and was pursuing a career with the company when he committed his life to full-time student ministry. Soon after surrendering to the ministry, Ben and Magen knew that Mount Hermon was where God wanted them to serve. Ben plays trumpet, guitar, and drums. He was very involved in the student ministry at Mount Hermon while in high school and had been very involved in the worship ministry at the church he attended in Jackson. God is using this young family in great ways here at Mount Hermon Baptist Church.

Ben is not only making an impact in the lives of students at Mount Hermon Baptist Church, but on the community as well. He is presently serving as secretary of the Hardin County Ministerial Association, and will be the 2015 President of the Shiloh Baptist Association Minister's Conference.
